Toyota in cooperation with Autoadapt will be one of the leading attractions at the Mobility Roadshow 2007, the world's largest outdoor mobility event for disabled and elderly people, at Kemble Airfield near Swindon from Thursday 19th to Saturday 21th July.
Mobility Roadshow visitors will get a close look at the host of Autoadapt product innovations in the Toyota stand MM5: Three models of Carolift - electrically powered wheelchair hoists, Carospeed hand control, Turny - passenger swivel seats, and Roof Spider - a storage box on the rooftop to transport a wheelchair.
Six of the Toyota vehicles will be ready for visitors to try out on the Roadshow test route. They will be fitted with state-of-the-art adaptations from Autoadapt, and their partners, as well as Toyotas own original equipment mobility products.
As a selected Autoadapt partner, the Italian producer KIVI can, for example, show adaptations fitted to Toyota vehicles such as their a radio transmitter steering-wheel control system or their Hand Operated Driving Control Model K5, electronic accelerator and brake hand control designed for drivers who are disabled in both legs and can be operated in five different ways.
Toyota Genuine Mobility Programme aims to enhance the lives of customers with limited mobility by making vehicles more accessible for them. Toyota has appointed Autoadapt as a preferred partner in the U.K. to transform Toyota vehicles into Adapted vehicles.
