The strategic partnership aims to further strengthen Autoadapt’s role as a world leading supplier of vehicle adaptation products as well as opening up new potential market segments. For Unwin Safety Systems the goal is to increase the export sales to several new markets.
Both companies operate within the mobility industry, in particular the vehicle adaptation industry and have long standing experience developing and producing aids for people with limited mobility. Today Autoadapt cooperates with several leading bus and car manufacturers globally, a market segment Autoadapt’s Executive Vice President Peter Wahlsten expects to increase with the addition of the Unwin Safety Systems products.
“This strategic partnership makes the perfect complement to our current product portfolio creating a huge potential in additional sales in the growing commercial transport sector. Additionally we’re expecting to see a growth in export sales by up to 30-40 percent within our world-wide dealer network.“, says Peter Wahlsten.
Both companies are world leading in their respective fields and complement each other with synergistic products as well as geographical presence.
“For us it’s a privilege to be a part of Unwin Safety Systems’ future and an exciting increased focus on export as well as new market segments”, Peter Wahlsten concludes.
“We’ve been courted by many suitors before Autoadapt approached us, but I wouldn’t dream of selling half of my life’s work and accomplishment to just anyone. With Autoadapt we do not only share the principles of safety and independence we share a passion. I’m very confident that Peter Wahlsten and Håkan Sandberg CEO of Autoadapt will help lead my legacy in the right direction”, says Norman Unwin, founder of Unwin Safety Systems.
