In 1999 Autoadapt and Volvo Car Special Vehicles were honoured for the best car adaptation solution for the mobility-impaired, with the Swedish prize Handtaget, awarded by HRH Queen Silvia. The winning products were developed jointly by the two companies and were: - an outward- swivelling, motor-operated car seat lift - wider door opening - floor-mounted brake and accelerator hand controls - a raised armrest - lighter servo-assisted steering
Autoadapt won the prize for best growth by a company with five to two hundred and fifty employees, awarded by Business Region i Göteborg. Here is the jury’s motivation: With sensitivity towards the life situation and needs of the customer, Autoadapt has developed products that achieve a dominant market position and a successful internationalization. A clear vision of growth and a well-supported business strategy enable the entire labor force to work towards the same goal of high long-term growth.
In 2004, Autoadapt’s managing director Håkan Sandberg was ranked as one the fifty-six best MDs in Sweden among large and medium-sized companies, on a growth list drawn up by Ahrens Consultants.
