ABOUT AUTOADAPT > Product- and Safety tests of Mobility products

For the peace of mind and reassurance of its customers,
Autoadapt performs product tests as a means of achieving maximum safety.
These include the following:

Endurance test:
the product is loaded to its maximum capacity plus an
additional ten percent of its weight. The purpose is to simulate everyday use
as closely as possible: in other words, to perform a complete working cycle.
The test machine shakes the product for five minutes during every cycle and
it is required to with stand 10,000 such cycles. The manual controls are operating by a column of compressed air that pushes the buttons, and once performed, the test continues until the product breaks down. This indicates
how long the product can withstand testing.

Vibration tests are performed in compliance with different countries’
requirements and standards and may vary in duration.

Climate tests: Turny HD undergoes operational testing at temperatures
ranging from - 45 to +90 degrees Celsius in order to ensure its performance
even under the most extreme weather conditions.

Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) testing is applied to all products
installed in a car and is required by the EU motor vehicle directive. The test
level depends on whether the product plays a role in driving the vehicle. If this
is the case, then the following tests are made: For emissions (by measuring
the electromagnetic interference from the product), for immunity (the
resistance of the product to external interference), for resistance to transients (the resistance of the product to line transients) and for ESD (the resistance
of the product to electrostatic discharge).
All these tests are performed at the Swedish National Testing and Research Institute (SP).

Static load tests measure the weight that the product can take without
breaking. These values are then compared with the maximum load to
determine a correct safety factor.
