The Carony Drive LOC Tie-Down System is an electric lock that consists of a locking unit that mounts to the floor of the vehicle and safety-pins on the bottom of the wheelchair. Once the base lock is mounted to the vehicle floor, it acts as receiver for the docking pin attached to the wheelchair, making the entry fully automatic, and minimizing the need for precise manoeuvring. When the wheelchair rolls over top of the box, all three pins engages, forming a triangular safety grip that holds the wheelchair securely. To release the wheelchair, a button is pushed to disengage.
