Autoadapt operates a car adaptation workshop in the municipality of Lerum where a team of handpicked and highly skilled technicians undertake car adaptations of users’ vehicles. Their work begins once a company specialist has examined the car together with the customer and determined the latter’s needs. Armed with extensive experience of previous adaptations and their creativity, these technicians work to devise the best possible solution for the handicapped, disabled and elderly, aiming at a vehicle with unobstructed access and safe ergonomic seating. In many cases quite advanced adaptation of the driver’s seat may be required. Major vehicle conversions involve the user attending the adaptation workshop for supplementary vehicle trials while work is in progress. Before the adapted car (van, SUV, MPV, minibus) is returned to the customer, final inspection takes place. This allows an opportunity for some last-minute fine tuning and for users to familiarize themselves with driving their new car.
