To ensure an approved vehicle adaptation for commercial traffic a number of tests were performed at the Swedish National Testing and Research Institute. These included crash tests of a VW Transporter T5 and a Renault Espace together with the Turny Orbit and a BEV-seat, which complied with the new and stricter requirements laid down in ECE-R 17, EEC 74/408, and EEC 96/37.
The Turny Orbit is the perfect solution for taxi and community transport vehicles as it ensures safe transportation for the disabled while allowing retention of the original car seats. This product offers a simple way to assist passengers in getting in and out of the vehicle without them having to worry about manual swivelling. This is
a major benefit to professional drivers as they avoid heavy and uncomfortable lifting, while the manual controls provide full command over inward and outward swivelling.
Turny Orbit has been crash-tested on a Volkswagen Transporter T5, in the front passenger seat and the right-hand central section, as well as
on a Renault Espace, in the front passenger.
The Turny Orbit is E-marked
E-marking is valid world wide and is a type approval from The Swedish Road Administration, which denotes that the product fulfils UN global vehicle regulations. The figure “5” indicates that it has been certified in Sweden. To retain an E- or e-markings, the products must be tested annually.

Turny Orbit is CE-marked
